Local Ocean’s RAS facility will be in Boulogne-sur-Mer, a port city on the northern coast of France.

We are here for the long haul.

Boulogne-sur-Mer is the perfect location for our facility from a social and an environmental standpoint.

Our facility will be seamlessly integrated with the commercial fishing hub of Le Portel, Boulogne.

Boulogne is just a few hours from major markets like Paris and London.

Our project supports the French economy by localizing salmon farming rather than continuing to source from abroad.

This also helps us reduce carbon emissions associated with transportation.

Carbon-free Energy

The local electricity grid in Boulogne-sur-Mer that will support our facility is powered by zero-carbon and renewable energy sources produced locally in France.

Boulogne’s seawater is clean and cool, perfect for raising Salmon.

The seawater in this region is unpolluted and is the ideal temperature for salmon farming.

This allows us to use high-efficiency heat exchange systems to significantly reduce our energy usage.
