Protect Biodiversity
57% of global fish stocks are already fully exploited. 90% of the world’s predatory fish (tuna, sharks, swordfish, cod and halibut) are already gone. Sustainably farming salmon will reduce the pressure on wild fish populations.

Micro-plastics, heavy metals and chemical contamination

Maximize Fish Health & Food Safety
Traditional aquaculture and wild caught fish are increasingly susceptible to sea lice, parasites (like Anisakis), disease, toxins, and stress.
Address Food Security
Wild fish populations can no longer support global demand. Terrestrial animal farming is not sustainable or cost-effective. Worldwide population will reach 9.6 billion people by 2050; food security will be a major issue.
